BRANDVLEI — The long-awaited overhaul of the Brandvlei sports field has reportedly entered its final stretch, with the installation of a new artificial grass surface now underway.

While no official statement has been released by the Hantam Municipality, local updates and images circulating on social media show contractors actively laying down the high-grade synthetic turf.

The project marks a major transformation for the local facility. Residents and sports enthusiasts have widely shared the progress online, welcoming the upgrade from the previous dust-heavy grounds. Once completed, the new all-weather pitch is expected to significantly boost local sports development and provide Brandvlei youth with a modernised arena.
